The current estate comprises some 2,600 acres (1,056 hectares) of which almost the entirety is forest. It is almost exclusively hardwood with oak, beech, hornbeam and acacia the predominant species. The forest is managed privately and is protected by a Europe Natura 2000 designation. The majority is cultivated on the continuous regeneration principle. There is also about 100 acres of agricultural land; the rest forming the Manor House, park and ancillary buildings
